Fort Worth therapist Madi Elliott provides support for couples, families, and individuals. 

In relational counseling, Madi’s specialties include couples counseling, family counseling, premarital counseling, divorce, blended families, medical trauma, and LGBTQIA+ couples. Her specialties in individual counseling include familial trauma, relational trauma, identity, body image and disordered eating, nutrition/health & wellness, anxiety, depression, stress, athletic and artistic performance, life transitions, and supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals

Madi has a gift for pre-wedding counseling for partners who want to enhance healthy dynamics & relational tools, and improve the 5 C’s: curiosity, compassion, connection, communication, and collaboration, and for couples in second marriages who want to shed dynamics that didn’t work in their past and gain skills and insight to support success in their new relationship. She also works compassionately with families navigating divorce to build tools in co-parenting, healthy boundaries, and avoiding parentifying children in the transition..

Madi is trained in providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR Therapy) and often incorporates the technique when appropriate for trauma, anxiety, body image issues, first responder issues, chronic pain, and other challenges. 

With empathy and understanding for individuals experiencing chronic illness, navigating health issues, or focusing on improving their physical wellness, Madi helps clients build tools in habit changes, attuning to their body, and building confidence. She is also highly skilled in working with athletes, artists, musicians, and young career professionals who need support navigating lifestyle and community challenges, major transitions, and stress management.

Madi earned her Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Psychology, Kinesiology, and Health/Rehabilitation from the University of North Texas, and her Master of Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. 

She believes that creating awareness and understanding of our experiences growing up can contribute to our ability to create positive change in our current life dynamics and relationships. She enjoys working with couples, families, and individuals to enact change in their lives to improve functioning and satisfaction. Madi is passionate about creating a safe space for individuals and couples to reflect, grow, and feel empowered to enact change to achieve their goals.
