Dr. Tommy Latiolais brings over three decades of experience as a pediatrician dedicated to caring for children in northwest Louisiana to the world of counseling. He earned a BS in Biology from Mcneese State University and completed his MD and residency in Pediatrics from LSU-Shreveport. His vast experience with families, teens, parents, and young adults has given him unique insights into parent-child relationships, navigating the tween years, and launching young adults into the real world. Dr. Latiolais specializes in ADHD evaluation and treatment using a holistic "four-pronged therapy" approach encompassing behavioral, educational, psychological, and medical aspects. His practice has touched the lives of families at every stage, from new parents to those navigating the challenges of adolescence and beyond.

Recognizing the importance of addressing burnout among healthcare professionals, Dr. Latiolais took on the role of a physician leader. As he neared retirement, he embraced a new calling in life coaching and counseling. He earned a Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance from Louisiana Tech along with a National Board-Certified Counselor designation. He is currently under the supervision of Ariel Moore, MS, LPC-S,, working toward full licensure as an LPC. Dr. Latiolais is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association, and a member of Chi Sigma Iota, the counseling honor society.

Dr. Latiolais employs various therapeutic tools, including cognitive behavioral therapy, reality therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, family therapy, and group sessions. His goal is to enhance communication, strengthen relationships, and promote healing within individuals, couples, and families. In some instances, the focus may shift to personal growth, empowering clients to navigate life's challenges and choices with a sense of fulfillment and joy.

Beyond his professional roles, Dr. Latiolais is a devoted LSU Tiger fan who enjoys attending games and keeping up with his beloved team. He relishes travel, especially to visit his children and grandchildren, and indulges in beach vacations and camping adventures. His love for tending to his garden mirrors his dedication to helping individuals grow and flourish in their lives.

Dr. Latiolais wears many hats—amateur gardener, sports enthusiast, devoted father and grandfather, experienced doctor, and compassionate counselor.
