The Zen Zone

Is your school-age child feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or misunderstood? What if they could learn to improve their communication and coping skills, build mental and physical confidence and emotional resilience, enhance their creativity, build relationships, and learn how to focus and find inner calm?

Our Zen Zone workshop for children (ages 6-14) teaches all those skills and more, with 4 sessions every other Saturday beginning May 31, 2025 from 9 am to 12 pm at Lifeologie Counseling Chandler.

What to Expect:

  • Fun!
  • Breathing exercises
  • Art activities
  • Focus and relaxation
  • Interactive games to build social skills
  • Sharing and reflection

Participants are guided through breathing exercises, therapeutic art activities, recognizing different types of communication styles, and learning techniques they can learn and practice at home.

The facilitators will also introduce a set of exercises aimed to address types of emotions, how they manifest and are presented outwardly, and how to cope with emotions as well as practice proactive and healthy approaches to expressing emotions. The leaders will also provide opportunities to faciliate sharing and journaling.

This innovative workshop is led by Clinical Director Jordan Helms, LCSW and Master's Level Intern Madison Barry, compassionate, experienced therapists who specialize in helping children and teens overcome anxiety, bullying, depression, trauma, and other challenges:
