Get to know Jackson
Jackson Jontra enjoys working with clients who are struggling with loneliness and self-doubt, as well as neurodivergent individuals who are trying to find their voice in the world. He also has a particular interest in sports performance psychology, helping athletes visualize success and overcome the “yips”. Jackson has worked extensively with adolescents and adults struggling with addiction and “failure to launch” issues at Innovation 360 in Dallas.
Born and raised in Texas, Jackson received his Bachelor’s in Psychology at Texas A&M University. He then completed his Master’s in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary, and is licensed by the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate.
Jackson approaches his care and counseling with an understanding that there is a desire within people to find a purpose and feeling of belonging, and that when we are unable to discern those things, we learn to cope in ineffective ways. Jackson hopes to walk with clients and assist them in discovering for themselves possible solutions to their existential questions.
“Look at the weak and cry, pray one day you’ll be strong, fighting for your rights, even when you’re wrong, and hope that at least one of you [will] sing about me when I’m gone.”
– Kendrick Lamar
