Get to know Jason
Jason Baniukaitis understands that exploring our lives in therapy may be challenging or intimidating. As such, his goal in therapy is to create an empathetic and collaborative space for clients to explore themselves, their relationships to others, and their relationship to the world around them. As a part of this process, he also seeks to demystify therapy and create a safe and welcoming environment for clients to be themselves.
Jason has experience working with adults who are struggling with anxiety symptoms, navigating life transitions, and interpersonal relationships. He also has a professional interest in working with clients who have personality disorders.
Jason works from a perspective that combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and a person-centered orientation. He emphasizes working from an evidence-based framework that uses research as part of his collaborative approach.
Jason is currently completing his Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Western Michigan University. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University.
In his free time, Jason enjoys playing tabletop games and spending time with friends, family, and his dog. He also enjoys learning and being exposed to new experiences and ideas.
