Get to know Jennifer
Jennifer Glover is a dedicated Master’s Level Intern with a deep commitment to person-centered care with a humanistic and holistic approach to mental health. Jennifer specializes in working with adults through major life transitions, dealing with anxiety and depression, building a strong sense of self, improving relationships, navigating illness or caregiving, and supporting clients through grief and loss. An extensive corporate background has also uniquely positioned Jennifer to empathize with the challenges of balancing work and life and exploring a new career path.
Having personally experienced the transformative power of therapy, Jennifer’s journey of self-discovery and healing inspired a career in mental health. She leads with empathy and compassion as her guide and has a great passion for helping others encouraging an integrated approach to wellness.
She believes clients are the most knowledgeable about their lives and what’s best for them, creating a collaborative experience and space to acknowledge and honor their lived experience while working toward positive change. The most essential part of this work is providing a safe and non-judgmental environment that allows clients from all walks of life to feel unconditionally accepted and comfortable to discuss their lives and inner world.
Jennifer knows it takes great courage to take the first step in reaching out for help and the importance of needing a safe place for this experience. She views her role as helping support clients as they begin to establish awareness and stability in the present, reflect on the past, and identify their desired future where the sense of self is strong and resilient.
With a strong belief that every individual holds the potential for growth and healing, the exploration of their thoughts, emotions, patterns, and behaviors is empowering for people on their own journey to wellness. Jennifer is focused on building on strengths for resilience and promoting overall wellbeing in all aspects of life. Jennifer believes in the healing power of mindfulness, creativity, balance, boundaries, and engaging in personal interests. The impacts of childhood experience, attachment, conscious vs. subconscious reality, and emotional regulation are all worthwhile explorations given the influence and impact each can hold. Jennifer strongly believes this can be a key to deeper healing.
Jennifer was born and raised in a small town in Texas but has lived in the city her adult life. Having both perspectives, along with traveling, has allowed for a world of perspective and education. When traveling, she is usually found exploring with her camera and looking for a local experience. In day-to-day life, she enjoys time with her dog Mack, loves music, reading and writing, museums, golf, new restaurants, learning something new, practicing yoga/pilates/sound therapy, creativity, and spending time with family and friends. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Saybrook University.
