Therapist Mike Williams leads from a Biblical worldview and respects all spiritual viewpoints in his work at Lifeologie Counseling Cedar Hill. He offers an empathetic listening ear for those feeling stuck, struggling with shame, addiction, emotional wounds, grief, anxiety, and trauma. Mike promotes holistic care with multiculturalist humility to cultivate healthy life skills that affect beliefs, values, and relationships. He wants each person he encounters to understand they belong and have purpose.

With over a decade of experience working with teens and college students, Mike is driven to help young professionals understand their identity and purpose to live a life of integrity. In addition, he has experience helping families set healthy boundaries, heal wounds, incorporate love languages, and navigate conflict. Mike has also led support groups for individuals with various addictions, damaged relationships, and dysfunctional families.

Mike has an eclectic approach to counseling, which so far includes: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Brief Focus Therapy (SBFT), and Person Centered Therapy (PCT). He has completed SYMBIS training to support couples and engaged couples.

Mike views his clients as collaborative partners who identify problems and create goals together. Achieving these goals requires the client to be honest, vulnerable, and brave enough to change.

Currently, Mike holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Youth/Family Ministry and Business Management and Ethics from Manhattan Christian College. He attends Liberty University, where he is completing his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health.

Mike is married to a wonderful woman with whom he is blessed to share life with daily. In his free time, Mike enjoys playing basketball, old-school video games, watching football, traveling, discovering the best local eateries, taking reflective walks, and learning through podcasts and books.
