Therapist Alex Henry specializes in trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorders, complex PTSD, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy, spiritual exploration, teen and young adult challenges, men's mental health, and relationship counseling at Lifeologie Counseling Dallas Uptown. If you're dealing with anxiety, identity questions, or recovering from a painful past, Alex offers real, practical support in a space where you can finally be honest and learn how to move forward.
Alex is passionate about giving people the space to feel seen, heard, encouraged, and inspired. It doesn’t matter what stage of life you’re in: everyone deserves to have a peaceful life while feeling good living it. He takes a collaborative, personalized approach to therapy, drawing from Family Systems, Transpersonal Psychotherapy, Feminist Theory, and Solution-Focused Therapy. His approach focuses on individual agency and growth, group connections and interactions, exploring spirituality, finding meaning, reaching emotional resolutions, and helping people discover that they can often find solutions to many situations.
Alex has a special heart for:
- LGBTQIA+ individuals navigating identity, relationships, or community
- Teens and young adults figuring out who they are and where they fit
- Creating safe, supportive, and empowering spaces for neurodiverse individuals to thrive
- People healing from C-PTSD or trauma, including childhood and relational wounds
- Those deconstructing religion or faith, especially from a Christian background
- Men working through emotions, identity, or relationships in a judgment-free space
- People exploring gender and sexuality
- Couples and those in non-monogamous or open relationships
- Anyone curious about spirituality, mindfulness, or the Enneagram/16 Types
He also supports clients dealing with grief, racial trauma, blended family challenges, abuse recovery, and couples seeking pre-marital counseling or help with codependency.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (with a minor in Sociology and Family Studies) and is currently completing his Master of Counseling at Capella University.
Beyond his education, Alex brings more than 10 years of mental health experience, plus a background as a musician, photographer, artist, and teacher. He loves cooking, nature walks, exploring new cities, good movies, and any excuse to be near water. He's endlessly curious and a lifelong learner.
