Helping others has always been a passion for Christine. She obtained a Bachelors in Nursing from Milligan College and found fulfillment in volunteering while exploring her creative side through electives like yoga, ceramics, and photography. During her time in college, she felt called to learn how to care for the mental and emotional health of others. While working as a nurse, she started a master’s degree in counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary, and she will graduate next summer.
Christine’s desire to pursue counseling began while witnessing scenarios where counseling would have brought freedom, healing, and hope. These situations ranged from witnessing a family member struggle with depression, meeting a lady with cancer who had been left by her husband, and encountering a trauma victim ruled by painful memories. Christine felt compelled to become equipped with the tools necessary to walk with people through painful and stressful situations. She knows that life can be complex and has a deep passion to walk with her clients as they learn to live in freedom.
She has three siblings and is the middle child. She moved around five times as a child and has lived on the East Coast, the South, Southwest, and Midwest. Because of this, she has an inclination to help others feel at home. She is also a newlywed in an interracial marriage and living out mercy and reconciliation are a daily part of her life. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, connecting with friends, movies, and crafts.
One of her favorite quotes is “Live by grace, not perfection”
