Get to know Eliza
Eliza Fochler is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counseling Associate with numerous years of experience providing mental health and counseling services. During her training and professional experience, she has had the opportunity to work with couples and individuals ranging in age from early adolescence to late adulthood. She has worked with clients navigating substance abuse issues, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, marriage and relationship problems, body image issues, and more.
Through working with diverse populations and addressing a wide variety of issues, Eliza gained invaluable experience and continued to explore her particular interests within the profession. She is currently expanding her clinical focus into supporting clients with ADHD and neurodivergency, grief and loss, trauma, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and disordered eating.
Eliza believes that growth and change are inevitable parts of the human experience and understands that it can take strength and courage to acknowledge and engage in these processes. Whether it is unlearning unhealthy behaviors, processing past experiences or trauma, or better understanding who you are today, Eliza believes everyone can benefit from the counseling journey in some way. It is important to her to meet clients where they are presently in their lives, and work collaboratively to build a strong therapeutic relationship and identify goals that best fit into their lifestyle. Eliza strives to create a respectful, validating, and inclusive environment where clients feel safe to explore their perspectives and experiences that have shaped them into who they are today.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, she earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University.
When she is not seeing clients or in the kitchen trying out new recipes, Eliza enjoys being in nature, completing art projects, and listening to audiobooks. She loves to travel, and hopes to visit Greece one day.
