Get to know Indira
Indira Jones specializes in play therapy, trauma counseling, family counseling, couples and marriage counseling, divorce and family transitions, racial trauma and systemic oppression, veterans, and blended family support. She works with children, adults, couples, and families navigating healing, identity, relationships, and major life changes. Indira is known for her direct approach to healing, and for her ability to hold space while also challenging people to grow. She believes that trauma may shape your story, but it does not define who you are. You define your trauma.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Indira brings experience working in Tier 1 school-based settings, supporting children in developing emotional awareness, regulation, and coping skills early. She has seen how unaddressed childhood experiences can show up later in behavior, identity, and relationships, which drives her passion for early intervention and generational healing.
She is the founder of the Brown Girls Heal Movement, a healing-centered platform dedicated to supporting women of color in healing from childhood trauma. Through this work, Indira has led trauma healing tours and experiences, creating intentional spaces where women can be honest about their past and do the deeper work required for real change.
Indira’s approach is honest, intentional, and results-driven. She believes in healing beyond the surface. She works with clients to increase self-awareness, take accountability, and actively shift the patterns that no longer serve them. Her goal is not just for clients to understand their trauma, but to move differently because of it.
Fun fact: When Indira is not challenging and supporting you at the same time while somehow still making you feel safe enough to do the work, she is either eating well, traveling, or confidently singing terrible karaoke.
