Get to know Khari

Khari Neal offers counseling for couples, families, and individual adults who are navigating relationships, depression, identity, sexuality, spirituality, religious trauma, career choices, and creative exploration.

Khari's approach to a person’s therapeutic exploration starts with genuine curiosity and conviction: being committed to creating a space where you have the liberty to comfortably “be yourself”and to better care for and understand who you are in order to live your most effective life.

Khari recognizes that the journey to self can be arduous, and although sitting with specific truths may be uncomfortable, therapy is where we find opportunity for maturity and authentic and concrete change. He welcomes challenges, where he can collaborate with clients to understand and celebrate their identities and achievements along the way. He incorporates Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Mindfulness.

Khari is a native of Michigan (born on the East side). He earned a Bachelor's of Music in Performance from Cornerstone University and is pursuing his Master’s in Mental Clinical Health Counseling from Palo Alto University.

In his free time, you can find him performing with Bluewater Kings, creating (composing) music, and/or reading, accompanied by tea (boba tea, if he wants to treat himself). He also finds pleasure being exposed to new opportunities to learn and/or acquire a new skill, such as a new hobby or language.
