Get to know Lisa
Lisa Fanning is a compassionate and collaborative therapist dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s transitions, deepen self-understanding, and cultivate lasting change. With a warm, nonjudgmental presence, Lisa creates a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and life stories with authenticity and courage.
Lisa is dedicated to supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief, and other life challenges. Her integrative approach draws from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and Solution-Focused techniques. She empowers clients to process difficult emotions, overcome internal and external barriers, and move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Lisa brings a rich and diverse professional background to her work as a counselor. Before entering the mental health field, she spent over 20 years in the financial services industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Houston. Her passion for counseling grew out of years of mentoring others, leading support and process groups, and walking alongside individuals in recovery—experiences that took place in both secular and faith-based settings. These formative roles deepened her commitment to helping others navigate growth, healing, and transformation.
Lisa believes in the transformative power of connection, curiosity, and choice. She considers it a profound honor to support clients as they rediscover their strengths, clarify their values, and embrace their full selves.
Outside the therapy room, Lisa is an adventurer and lifelong learner. She’s traveled across Europe, Asia, and Africa and finds great meaning in connecting with diverse cultures and perspectives. She enjoys hiking, biking, reading, movie nights, and spending time with friends and family—and has even completed a few triathlons along the way.
