Get to know Tristan

Tristan is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, where he completed a Masters of Theology before earning his Masters in Counseling. He believes that counseling should treat the whole person--body, mind, and soul--and thus takes a holistic and collaborative approach to therapy that recognizes the beautiful complexity of each of his clients.

Tristan specializes in couples therapy – particularly African-American and multiethnic relationships, whose unique challenges and resources can be overlooked in traditional, individually focused therapy settings. He also enjoys working with young adults to navigate self, work, and relationship issues.

A native of Chicago’s West Side, Tristan can’t get enough of Lou Malnati’s deep-dish pizza, polish sausages (no ketchup, just mustard iykyk), and Garrett’s popcorn. Since coming to Dallas, however, his palate has grown to appreciate all things Texas BBQ. In his spare time, Tristan enjoys reading, writing, watching true crime shows with his wife, Nancy, hanging out with friends, and learning new things.
