Feeling stressed out lately? Being a teenager can be stressful enough, not to mention, being a teenager during a Pandemic!
Join our presenter Rachel Burns, as she reviews some practical tips and strategies for stress management and reduction.
Rachel will share how becoming overloaded with stress, can lead to anxiety, withdrawal, aggression, physical illness, or poor coping skills such as drug and/or alcohol use.
She’ll explain how your perception of a situation can cause changes to occur in your mind and body. These changes, called “fight, flight or freeze” are the brain’s natural reaction to stress and prepares your body to respond to danger.
In addition, she will help you think about the stressful situations you may be facing and how to work on calming your mind and body rather than preparing for danger.
Lastly, Rachel will share practical tips and strategies for managing our responses to common stressors.
