Launching Well: Strategies & Support For Leaving The Nest

Because no one hands you a manual for launching a young adult! College, trade school, gap years, first apartments, real-world responsibilities ... preparing teens for life after high school can be exciting and overwhelming. That's why we created Launching Well, a virtual workshop series to help parents, guardians, educators, and counselors navigate this transition with clarity, confidence, and care.

You’ll gain practical tools for fostering independence, staying connected, setting healthy boundaries, and knowing when to step in (or when to step back!) Choose a morning or evening option. Both are led by Lifeologie Counseling Rockwall therapist and seasoned career and educational counselor Chelsea Atwell, LPC.

get ready for Life After High School

Our first session, Support For Leaving The Nest, focuses on the emotional, practical, and developmental challenges young adults face as they move into adulthood. Participants will gain evidence-informed tools and strategies to support teens in building independence, resilience, problem-solving skills, and self-advocacy.

This group is ideal for:

  • Parents and caregivers preparing to launch their own teen

  • Teachers, counselors, and school professionals supporting multiple students

  • Anyone wondering “Am I helping… or accidentally holding them back?”

what our session will cover

  • Set healthy boundaries—and stick to them

  • Recognize when support is helpful versus when it may unintentionally limit growth
