Let's Talk About Feelings This Fall

Middle school comes with a lot of changes—and sometimes even more feelings. Friend drama. School stress. Growing confidence. Changing relationships. Big emotions that seem to show up out of nowhere.

This fall, we’re making space for all of it.

Feelings This Fall is a three-week Saturday morning therapy group where middle school girls can get together, talk about what’s on their minds, engage in autumn-themed expressive arts, and learn healthy ways to handle the not-so-gorgeous parts of growing up.

Because feelings aren’t something you have to leaf at the door.

what to expect

Led by Lifeologie Counseling Midlothian therapists Jayla Jackson, Master’s Level Intern and supervised by Alyssa Solis, LPC, NCC, this open group combines meaningful conversations with fun fall activities in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Over three Saturday mornings, we’ll explore:

  • Exploring Emotions: Learning to recognize, name, and understand all those feelings—the comfortable ones, the complicated ones, and the where-did-that-come-from? ones.
  • Navigating Challenges: Talking through friendship struggles, school stress, changing expectations, and the everyday ups and downs of middle school.
  • Learning Coping Skills: Building practical tools for handling stress, managing big emotions, and getting through tough moments in healthier ways.
  • Having Some Fall Fun: Because talking about feelings doesn’t have to feel like homework. Each session will include seasonal activities designed to keep things creative, comfortable, and fun.

Girls are welcome to attend one, two, or all three sessions. Each Saturday offers another opportunity to connect, learn, laugh, and discover that having big feelings is simply part of being human.

fall feelings welcome here

Middle school can sometimes feel like trying to find your way through a corn maze, with social pressure, schoolwork, friendships, family, and emotions all pointing in different directions.

Having a supportive place to talk can help.

Feelings This Fall gives girls a space to practice expressing themselves, learn new coping strategies, and connect with other girls navigating many of the same things. No pretending everything is fine. No having to have it all figured out. Just a couple of Saturday morning hours to talk, learn, create, and grow.
