Thriving Through Middle School: A Workshop for Girls Ages 11–13 | Lifeologie Counseling Midlothian

Starting middle school is a big deal. It means new friendships, new expectations, and a lot of new feelings all at once. If your daughter is entering or currently navigating middle school, and having big feelings about academic and social stress, encourage her to join us for Thriving Through Middle School, a 1-day, interactive workshop designed to help girls ages 11–13 handle this transition with more confidence and less stress.

what to expect

Led by Youth Empowerment Coordinator and therapist Jayla Jackson and supervised by Licensed Professional Counselor Alyssa Solis, this small group of young women will meet in our light, bright therapy space to focus on:

  • Understanding the emotional and social changes of middle school

  • Building confidence and a positive self-image

  • Developing healthy friendships and setting boundaries

  • Creating academic organization and goal-setting strategies

Participants will leave feeling more prepared, more connected, and more confident as the new school year begins!

We invite girls ages 11-13 to join us for this confidence-boosting 1-day workshop Saturday morning, August 1, from 9-11 AM at Lifeologie Counseling Midlothian.

Jayla Jackson

Jayla Jackson is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges and discover tools to thrive. Using a creative and compassionate CBT approach, she helps clients build healthier thought patterns, strengthen emotional well-being, and foster personal growth at Lifeologie Counseling Midlothian. 

Alyssa Solis

Alyssa Solis, LPC, is co-clinical manager of Lifeologie Counseling Midlothian, where she shares her passion for working with children, adolescents, young adults, and neurodivergent individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem, and relational difficulties. She has extensive experience using play therapy techniques to promote self-awareness, healthy self-expression, and emotional regulation.
