Get to know Alexis
If your child is struggling in school—whether with attention, learning, anxiety, or social-emotional challenges—you may feel overwhelmed, unsure where to turn, and worried about their future. As a school psychologist, Alexis Coryell offers compassionate, thorough psychoeducational testing and consultation to help families find answers and a clear path forward. She specializes in evaluations for ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, giftedness, and anxiety, providing not just diagnoses but practical, strengths-based recommendations that truly support growth. Alexis partners with families to navigate the school system with confidence and equips students with tools to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Alexis’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and client-centered. She believes that every student has unique strengths and that identifying those strengths is just as important as addressing areas of need. Families working with Alexis can expect a process that is supportive, clear, and empowering—from the first consultation to the final report and recommendations. She provides solution-focused, individualized strategies that bridge school and home, with an emphasis on building executive functioning skills, resilience, and self-confidence.
Alexis earned her Masters and Education Specialist degrees in School Psychology from Florida State University. She brings nine years of experience from the public school system, including six years within the St. Johns County School District. In this role, she actively collaborated with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' academic, behavioral, and emotional well-being. Her extensive background provides a balanced perspective, effectively integrating insights from private practice with practical knowledge of school systems.
Drawn to her profession by a passion for advocacy and a belief in the transformative power of education, Alexis is committed to helping children and teens discover their strengths, overcome barriers, and realize their potential. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys hanging out with her family, traveling around the world, paddleboarding on the Intracoastal Waterway, and cooking up new recipes, which help her live with the same balance and purpose she encourages in the families she serves.
