Get to know Angelica

Therapist Angelica Stross, LPC Associate, provides holistic, somatic therapy for adolescents, adults, couples, and families seeking meaningful change, deeper self-understanding, and healthier relationships. She especially welcomes LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and those looking for an affirming, trauma-informed approach to healing in her practice at Lifeologie Counseling Rockwall.

Angelica believes lasting change involves more than insight alone. She integrates evidence-based counseling with somatic, trauma-informed approaches that help clients process difficult experiences, regulate their emotions, and create meaningful change in their daily lives. She is Internal Family Systems-informed, trained in Brainspotting and Applied Behavioral Analysis, and has completed specialized training in trauma counseling, allowing her to tailor therapy to each client's unique needs.

Angelica believes therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, curiosity, and authentic connection. She offers guidance while creating space for clients to explore their experiences, understand the patterns that have shaped them, and develop practical tools for lasting change. Rather than focusing on “fixing” what is “broken”, Angelica helps clients reconnect with themselves, cultivate self-trust, and build a life that reflects who they are, not just what they have been through. She hopes that each client leaves therapy feeling more grounded, connected, and better equipped to navigate whatever comes next.

Angelica earned her BA in Psychology and Child Learning and Development from The University of Texas at Dallas before earning her MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University. She continues to pursue advanced training in trauma, somatic therapies, neurodiversity, and LGBTQ+ affirming care because she believes thoughtful therapists never stop learning.

Outside of counseling, Angelica enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and partner, often playing board games together. She also loves spending time with her three rescue pets, dancing in her living room, playing video games, and finding playful joy in the simple moments in everyday life.
