Maya is passionate about helping people make sense of their world and feel empowered to make the world better for themselves and others. She uses Attachment Therapy, Systems Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to create an approach that addresses each client’s unique therapeutic needs.

Maya earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas Tech University, received her Master of Education in Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma, and received her Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University (SMU).

She is a DFW native who enjoys spending quality time with her pup, Crash, reading, and finding all the best spots around Dallas to kick back and relax. She worked in Student Affairs for a decade and can answer just about any college-related question!
