Ruth Rodriguez is an experienced and compassionate therapist who works with individuals, couples, and families to ensure a better quality of life. Ruth takes a thoughtful approach to mental health, emphasizing how family-of-origin and current relationships shape her clients' wellbeing.

Ruth specializes in all stages of couples counseling, from premarital counseling, which she believes is vital to the success of marriage and helps couples be prepared for the ups and downs, to teaching problem-solving and communication skills that help couples achieve a more satisfying relationship.

In her approach with individual clients struggling with anxiety, OCD, stress, trauma, PTSD, or family conflict, Ruth uses techniques such as Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is an approved facilitator of the Prepare & Enrich program and is trained in couples therapy interventions including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Intergenerational Family Therapy (IFT), and Gottman methods.

She is from Texas and has lived here all her life. As a young adult, Ruth started realizing many people were struggling with mental health issues and wanted to help. She was curious about what caused these problems and decided to go into counseling.

Ruth earned her Masters in Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. She prioritizes a safe space and a no-judgment zone in her sessions. She believes that in order for there to be a change, people need to be heard and feel understood. She endeavors to provide a safe space to all her clients and help them get to where they want.

In her spare time, Ruth is a music enthusiast and likes to sing and play the piano. She and her husband both enjoy volunteering at their church.
