Get to know Sarah

Sarah Yoon offers therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families at Lifeologie Counseling Frisco, providing a warm, engaging, and collaborative space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported. She enjoys helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, complex trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity development, parenting concerns, ADHD, OCD, and personality-related struggles. Sarah also has a heart for couples at every stage of their relationship, offering premarital counseling, marriage counseling, and support for families seeking healthier communication and deeper connection.

Growing up internationally, Sarah developed a deep appreciation for people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. She has lived in many parts of the world and speaks English, Korean, and Indonesian fluently. Her multicultural experiences allow her to connect naturally with individuals and families from a wide variety of cultural perspectives.

With over 17 years of ministry experience alongside her husband, Sarah has a unique understanding of the joys and challenges that come with serving others. Having planted a church in Frisco, she is especially passionate about supporting pastors, ministry leaders, and families navigating ministry-related stress, burnout, and the unique demands of faith-based leadership. She integrates faith into counseling when requested by clients, while respecting each person's individual beliefs and values.

Sarah is trained in Play Therapy techniques and has completed Levels 1 and 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. She believes that every client has a unique story, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Her therapeutic style is relational, encouraging, and authentic, drawing from evidence-based approaches while creating a safe space for clients to process life's challenges at their own pace. She believes healing often happens through genuine presence, meaningful connection, and empowering clients to discover their own strengths and potential.

Outside the therapy room, Sarah is an artist and educator who teaches realism and introspective art to school-aged children and teens through her art studio. She enjoys helping young artists express their inner world through creativity and strives to make every class both meaningful and fun. Her love for children extends beyond counseling, and she delights in encouraging their confidence, imagination, and emotional growth.

Sarah describes herself as an enthusiastic and curious lifelong learner who enjoys meeting new people and embracing new adventures. As an Enneagram Type 7, she brings warmth, energy, and optimism to both her personal life and clinical work while remaining deeply committed to helping clients slow down, process their experiences, and grow through life's challenges.

Sarah has been married for more than 17 years to her husband and jokingly says it was "love at third sight." Together they are raising two wonderful children,a middle school son and a high school daughter, who keep life full of laughter, learning, and adventure.

When she isn't counseling or teaching art, Sarah enjoys drawing comic books and hopes to one day publish a children's comic series that combines humor with psychoeducation, something like "Captain Underpants meets emotional wellness." She believes that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing, and she considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they become the healthiest and most authentic versions of themselves.
