Amy Mathewson is a dedicated educator, lifelong learner, and passionate advocate for personal growth and healthy relationships. In her clinical training, Amy has specialized in supporting adolescents, young adults, couples, and blended families, as well as clients struggling with addictive behaviors and depression. She is especially passionate about helping individuals and families navigate life transitions, strengthen communication, and build secure, meaningful relationships through her work at Lifeologie Counseling Rockwall.

Amy brings warmth, creativity, and authenticity into every space she enters, striving to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered. She approaches counseling through a variety of evidence-based theories, including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. She tailors her approach to meet each client’s unique needs, creating a supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented environment.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Amy developed a deep appreciation for resilience, connection, and community; values that continue to shape both her personal and professional life. Amy earned her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), then fostered curiosity, emotional growth, and confidence in her students as a 5th-grade teacher. Her years in education have given her a deep understanding of child development and family systems, inspiring her to pursue a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Amberton University.

Outside of her professional life, Amy is the proud mother of five boys and shares a loving partnership with her wonderful husband. Family is at the heart of everything she does. In her spare time, she enjoys board games, crafting, and making memories with her family.
