Get to know Dawn

Dawn works with adults, couples, teens and families from diverse backgrounds that are dealing with life’s challenges.  She is passionate about helping clients who are working through trauma and neglect. She understands that survivors of emotional, physical, and childhood abuse carry wounds that others cannot see.  Stress management, anxiety, depression, couple’s conflict, relationships, family issues, and trauma are also her specialties.  Dawn provides a supportive, open, and judgement-free zone where clients can be authentic and express themselves, so they connect, heal, and grow.

Dawn has a strengths-based counseling approach that includes attachment-based, cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and trauma-informed practices.   She will help you gain a deeper awareness into the patterns of your life that may be keeping you stuck.  She uses these techniques to identify skills, build upon your strengths, and reduce negative symptoms.  She empowers clients to accomplish their goals, while utilizing their strengths for change.

Dawn is a member of the BIPOC community and strives to make mental health services available to people of color.
