Get to know Hebah

Feeling overwhelmed watching your child struggle with anxiety, OCD, depression, or behavioral changes? Many children don’t yet have the vocabulary to express their inner world, leaving  parents unsure of how to help. This is where the right therapy can make a difference. With compassion  and creativity, Hebah Nijem offers children’s counseling and family counseling to help you find new ways to connect, communicate, and heal at Lifeologie St. Johns.

Hebah specializes in play therapy, a powerful tool that bridges the gap between mind and heart.  Through play, children can express emotions, practice problem-solving, and process experiences  that may feel too big or confusing to verbalize. By meeting children at their developmental level,  she supports them in building emotional regulation, improving impulse control, and  strengthening resilience. Her therapeutic space is designed to be safe, accepting, and playful — allowing children to show up authentically while moving toward growth.

Her passion for play therapy grew out of years of working closely with young children and  witnessing the power of play as a language for healing. Today, she is dedicated to helping  children and adolescents express what words cannot always capture and to supporting parents in fostering stronger, more connected relationships at home. Hebah views therapy as a collaboration with caregivers, believing that true healing happens when the whole family is  involved.

Hebah earned her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of North Florida. She  integrates person-centered care, play therapy techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT),  somatic approaches, and trauma-informed practices, along with training in spiritual competency.

Clients describe Hebah as warm, patient, and deeply attuned to the needs of children and  families. In her free time, she enjoys nurturing her own inner child through play, spending time  outdoors, practicing yoga, and exploring different creative crafts.
