Get to know Kim
Kim Cox is a certified yoga therapist who offers both in-person and virtual therapeutic yoga and somatic movement sessions at Lifeologie Counseling Dallas. Her work is especially effective for clients navigating trauma, chronic anxiety, depression, life transitions, divorce, grief, illness, addictions, PTSD, or survivorship after cancer.
Kim believes that all effective healing begins and ends within the body. Through somatic release, breathwork, movement, and meditation, she helps clients cultivate balance, resilience, and a renewed sense of aliveness. With over 20 years of experience as a bodyworker, Kim helps clients reconnect with their bodies as the foundation for deep, lasting healing. Her approach integrates nervous system education, regulation, and the gentle release of trauma stored in the body.
In Kim’s sessions, music, movement, and breath come together to help energy flow freely again. As clients move through cycles of intensity and rest, the body learns to hold more sensation and release what’s been trapped—creating flow in the body, mind, and emotions.
Kim is certified through the International Association of Yoga Therapists and Yoga Alliance, and is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, trained under Peter Levine, PhD. She also holds certifications in personal training, Pilates, yoga, myofascial therapy, Happiness Studies, and health coaching through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Blending somatic experiencing and yoga therapy, Kim guides clients toward embodied healing, helping them release the effects of trauma through felt sense awareness. Her clients often report that the release, equilibrium, and healing that somatic work provides allows them to experience a more purposeful, passionate, and authentic life.
