Get to know Madeline

Madeline Gifford (Breay) works with adolescents and adults, focusing on those who are experiencing sports performance anxiety, general anxiety, depression, relational issues, grief, and trauma. 

Madeline’s goal is centering you with empathy and warmth throughout your therapy experience. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is a critical piece of this process, and she is eager to collaborate with you to explore new ways of relating to yourself and others. She uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach, and tailors her style of therapy to your individual needs.  She looks forward to journeying with you toward your therapeutic goals, whatever that looks like for you. 

Madeline is completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Aquinas College. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Hillsdale College. 

Madeline grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She swam competitively for 13 years, to which she attributes her interest in working with high school and college athletes. She loves to read, bike, travel, and spend time outside.
