Get to know Madeline
Madeline Gifford works with children, adolescents, and young adults, focusing on those who are experiencing life transitions, sports performance anxiety, general anxiety, depression, burnout, relational issues, grief, and trauma.
Madeline is passionate about centering you with empathy and warmth throughout your therapy experience. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is a critical piece of this process, and she is eager to collaborate with you to explore new ways of relating to yourself and others. She uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach, and incorporates elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and parts work. She looks forward to journeying with you toward your therapeutic goals, whatever that looks like for you!
Madeline grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan and completed her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Aquinas College. She swam competitively for 13 years, to which she attributes her interest in working with high school and college athletes. She loves to read, bike, travel, watch movies, grow plants, and spend time outside.
