Fort Worth therapist Miyoung "Mia" Lim brings warmth, compassion, and active listening to her work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She specializes in supporting couples in conflict, immigrant families, the elderly and their caregivers, and young adults navigating life transitions

Mia's diverse background as a parent, immigrant, classically trained musician, and former finance professional informs her approach and gives her insight into helping clients navigate performance anxiety and high-pressure environments. She creates a safe, empathetic space where clients feel heard and supported on their path to healing and growth, and is fluent in English and Korean.

Mia offers personalized, solution-focused therapies, including mindfulness for anxiety, Internal Family Systems for families, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for depression, PREP and Prepare/Enrich for pre-marital counseling, and the Gottman Method for couples therapy.

Her academic background includes a Master of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from California State University - Fullerton. She is currently completing her Master's in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary.

A lover of classical music, Mia enjoys attending concerts, accompanying musicians, and playing the pipe organ. Her musical background enhances her ability to connect with emotion, expression, and presence in both her personal life and her work as a therapist. An avid hiker, she has found solace in nature while exploring sections of the Appalachian Trail in Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Mountains. Now residing in Dallas, she looks forward to discovering local hiking trails and enjoying the natural beauty of Texas.
