Get to know Philip
Philip Grandjean is a compassionate counselor dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges and discover their fullest potential. He specializes in supporting those seeking to improve anxiety, depression, identity development, relationship issues, communication skills, emotional skills, self-esteem, athletic performance, and other concerns related to their relational, mental, and emotional wellbeing. At Lifeologie Counseling Plano & Richardson, he takes a holistic approach to therapy, fostering self-awareness and self-compassion to help clients build a strong foundation for personal growth and lasting change.
Philip’s expertise extends to athletics and performance psychology, where he helps athletes, artists, musicians, and performers unlock their potential by connecting with the values and experiences that drive them. He combines experience coaching basketball and golf with his counseling background to connect with athletes and performers of all levels. In his personal life, Philip is a multi-sport athlete with experience competing in golf, baseball, basketball, football, and track and field. He is also an avid writer of poetry and produces/acts in sketch comedy videos for fun. He works with clients to overcome mental barriers, improve focus, redefine what it means to be an artist, and achieve peak performance in their athletic, creative, and personal endeavors.
Philip incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Existential Psychology into his work to help clients gain insight into what truly matters to them and how they can align their thoughts, behaviors, and actions with their core values and goals.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Philip has always been passionate about creative and athletic pursuits. He earned his Bachelor's in Psychology from Texas A&M University and completed his Master's in Counseling at the University of North Texas at Dallas.
Philip believes that perspective is one of the most powerful tools for transformation. Through his own experiences, he has seen how broadening awareness and analyzing our beliefs can help us change the way we perceive ourselves – and the world around us. He views each individual as powerful, having an innate light within them, a source of strength and potential. Sometimes, this light may feel dimmed by the things that happen to us, overshadowed by negative thought processes, or blocked by external pressures, but Philip is committed to helping clients rediscover and harness that light, guiding them toward greater confidence and clarity.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain, Philip offers an accepting, creative, and open space to explore your difficulties and reignite the flame of hope and self-belief. His goal is to support and challenge you to tap into your inner resources, reorganize faulty beliefs, and create a fulfilling life aligned with your values and aspirations.
