Wondering what “secure attachment” feels like in a relationship?
Scott Bean specializes in relationships, approaching persistent relational distress and emotional dysregulation through the lens of attachment theory and complex trauma models in his therapy sessions at Lifeologie Counseling Dallas. From dating and intimacy issues to infidelity and breakups, he helps couples and individuals facing painful relational challenges create space for connection and healthier, more secure relationships.
He fosters a calm, safe haven, attuned to each client’s experience, where personal stories become mirrors, revealing childhood emotional neglect (CEN), trauma, and unmet attachment needs ready to be understood.
Scott treats relationship issues and complex PTSD holistically – integrating a variety of specialized modalities, generally mind/body 'bottom up' approaches, including Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma-Informed Yoga, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness, and Spirituality.
He also supports clients with anxiety, ADHD, depression, codependency/love addiction, process addictions, and major life transitions. He understands long-term recovery, and how lonely and difficult this work can be.
For more than 20 years, Scott supported families of alcoholics in AL-ANON Family Groups as a mentor-sponsor, speaker, and participant, then earned his MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Texas at Dallas. He has a unique background in management consulting and innovation leadership in several Fortune 100 companies and startups with extensive international and multicultural experience.
In his free time, Scott enjoys yoga – he thrives in nature, running and biking at White Rock Lake, and he appreciates modern design and architecture. He loves to cook with his family and friends, especially fresh Thai food recipes.
