Scott Hinton

Fort Worth therapist Scott Hinton helps adults, new couples, families, and those anxious and about to become families with an approach focused on building strong relationships. As a family man, he enjoys all things childbirth-related, and more specifically, supporting new dads.

Scott has not only studied this population, he has been around this block – 6 times! He knows firsthand how important it is for fathers to be better informed, more involved, and included in their partner’s pregnancy, delivery, and parenting. He has a knack for helping adults find a healthy balance between parenting, providing, and self-care, and can also sensitively assist mothers and couples with difficult pregnancy journeys or the pain of miscarriage should an unexpected loss occur.

As a former educator and current graduate-level student, Scott is also familiar with the stress and burnout that can happen when working in academia and school environments. He is currently completing his Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Texas Woman’s University at Denton, and previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Environmental and Development Economics at The Ohio State University-Columbus. 

Scott is experienced, relatable and authentic. He creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their most challenging experiences and learn new skills to navigate life. He brings an open, curious, and nonjudgmental perspective to his therapy practice, where he integrates mindfulness techniques and helps clients find meaning and purpose.

Scott enjoys balancing work and school by spending time with his large family. Games, movies, reading, and sports are all regular events he engages in with family. As an OSU grad, he is often watching the Buckeyes play on Saturdays in the fall. He is currently booking in-person and telehealth sessions for new couples, families, and adults at Lifeologie Counseling Fort Worth.
