Marissa Caton loves to work with tweens, teens, and young adults to help with anxiety, depression, navigating relationships, managing stress, understanding big life changes, and much more.
Marissa believes that every person already has what they need to heal, but sometimes our “okay-ness” gets stuck under layers of self-protection and hurt. Her therapy approach is a collaborative process that involves peeling back the layers that help protect you, to remove what no longer serves you, so you can get to your true authentic self and thrive. She believes that therapy should be engaging and based on YOUR needs, there is no” one size fits all.”
Marissa began to notice that what happens in someone’s brain often shows up in their body. To learn more about this connection, she completed two 200- hour yoga teacher training sessions. She now incorporates yoga, breathing, and mindfulness into many therapy sessions. She also includes EMDR and Trauma-Focused CBT when appropriate.
Marissa loves spending time with her two young children, husband, and dogs. You can find her in the garden, doing a house project, or doing something active outside.
