Beyond the Classroom: A Virtual Support Group for Teachers

When the school day ends, the stress does not always stay in the classroom. Between caring for students, meeting expectations, and bringing work home, it can be hard to make room for yourself.

You pour into everyone else. This hour is for you.

Join Beyond the Classroom, a free virtual support group for teachers offered through Lifeologie Counseling Oak Cliff. With real conversations, practical coping tools, and opportunities to connect, this group makes space for what you carry beyond the school day.

real conversations beyond the classroom

Beyond the Classroom offers a conversational space for connection and reflection, rather than another professional development session. Together, we will explore:

  • Managing stress and recognizing burnout
  • Setting boundaries without guilt
  • Understanding and regulating emotions
  • Separating your identity from your role as an educator
  • Finding support and community with other teachers

how our teacher support group works

Each online group session begins with a brief check-in, followed by a weekly discussion topic and opportunities to share your experiences. We will also explore a practical coping strategy or counseling tool you can apply outside the group, then close with a brief reflection or takeaway.

Led by professional therapist Indira Jones, our group is intentional but flexible, allowing conversations to evolve based on what participants are experiencing that week. The goal is to help teachers feel heard and supported while offering tools for everyday life.
