Caregiver Support Group

Lifeologie Counseling Ada & Cascade | Support Group

Caregiving can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience but it can also be a highly demanding job. So much so, that you can forget who you are and who you are with. Older adult caregivers, in particular, are at risk of developing physical symptoms from stress, as well as isolation, anxiety and low mood. Grief and loss issues are often prevalent during this time. All of these can be difficult to process and even more so when they don’t get breaks or time for themselves when they are functioning as a caregiver.

Lifeologie’s caregiver workshops are designed to pour into you, like water into a plant that focuses on growth, support and what you need in this demanding time. We will focus on a specific topic each workshop, with legacy and life review, expressive arts and plants included in the sessions as well. Join us for this group where you may heal, recoup and have the opportunity to meet other caregivers, walking along similar paths of life.

This is an opportunity for you to  invest in yourselves and connect with other people while learning new ways to manage and decrease stress.

Caregiving is rewarding and exhausting and the impact of developmental burden can  creep in, negatively impacting ones sense of hope and expectations and leaving the caregiver feeling cutoff from their friends and typical support system. Connecting with others helps to alleviate this experience and lessen the experience of stress, anxiety, and low mood.
