Get to know Amani
Dr. Amani Amanda Mungo, LPC, CPCS, is a clinical therapist and co-owner of Lifeologie Sandy Springs in Fulton County. She began in social services right after graduate school and has worked in the field for twenty years. Her experience spans residential, community-based, and hospital-based settings, giving her a broad perspective on how people heal, grow, and thrive.
Amani is passionate about offering solution-focused therapy for individuals and couples working through anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, personal growth, and the in-between seasons of feeling stuck.
Amani is a person-centered, deeply collaborative therapist. She works alongside clients to identify the presenting issue and the patterns keeping them stuck, then helps develop practical, meaningful strategies for lasting change. Her work focuses on restoring personal growth, recognizing existing strengths, addressing areas for improvement, building self-awareness, fostering resilience, and creating opportunities for positive transformation.
She believes every person brings their own unique strengths, resilience, and potential to therapy. Her goal is to help clients release negative patterns and thought processes, develop new positive goals, aspirations, and possibilities, and shift their perspective to uplift overall well-being. Clients know her for her warmth, kindness, and depth of expertise.
Amani earned her BA in Communication and Psychology and her MA in Rehabilitation Counseling from South Carolina State University, and her doctorate in Counseling Education and Supervision from Argosy University.
