Get to know Angela

Combining her Hispanic cultural background with a relaxed and welcoming personality, therapist Angela Reyna is very understanding of the mental health needs of underrepresented communities. Her background in working with multicultural populations allows her to be open and understanding. Angela’s specialties include anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, stress management, eating disorders, childhood trauma, generational trauma, family issues, and codependency. She sees children, adolescents, adults, and couples at Lifeologie Counseling Oak Cliff.

Angela brings a wealth of experience in working with children, and is deeply passionate about supporting their growth and development. She believes that when children are nurtured and equipped with the right tools and resources, they can thrive and flourish into their own selves. Drawing on her background as a teacher, Angela has extensive expertise in behavior management, addressing impulsivity, managing anger, and helping children navigate trauma.

Her counseling approach for all clients is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where she focuses on building trust, fostering a collaborative partnership, and encouraging clients to develop a healthy lifestyle. 

Angela earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington, and is currently completing her Masters in Clinical and Mental Health at the University of North Texas at Dallas. 

Angela is a genuine, kind, compassionate old soul who enjoys outdoor activities, spending quality time with her family, learning new recipes, riding horses, traveling, and listening to mental health, spiritual, and crime podcasts. As a Master’s Level Intern, she is eager to meet new clients and is dedicated to meeting their needs.
