Get to know Claire

Many couples find themselves feeling disconnected, stuck in patterns that keep them apart, or unsure how to rebuild the closeness they once had. Therapist Claire Schmidt helps partners strengthen communication, deepen emotional intimacy, and reconnect in ways that feel authentic and secure. She also works with individuals navigating relationship anxiety, attachment wounds, self-doubt, or emotional overwhelm, supporting them in becoming more grounded, confident, and capable of forming healthy, meaningful relationships.

At Lifeologie Counseling Dallas, Claire brings a thoughtful, evidence-informed approach to her work. She helps couples identify and interrupt negative interaction cycles, express unmet needs, and rebuild emotional closeness. She also focuses on anxiety, trust, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and relational patterns — including fears of not being “enough,” difficulty expressing needs, or the pain of past relationships. Her style is warm, direct, and collaborative, offering both insight and practical, results-oriented tools. Additionally, Claire is Prepare/Enrich certified, offering structured assessments that help couples better understand their relationship dynamics and grow together.

When working with clients, Claire creates a space where vulnerability feels safe and honesty feels possible. She helps clients understand the deeper emotions shaping their patterns, while also guiding them toward healthier communication, stronger self-belief, and more secure relational bonds. Whether clients are seeking better communication, reduced anxiety, deeper intimacy, or a stronger sense of self, Claire partners with them every step of the way.

Born and raised in Dallas, Claire completed her undergraduate degree at The University of Alabama before earning her Master of Science from Texas Wesleyan University. Guided by a deep belief in the power of healing through connection, she chose the counseling profession to help individuals and couples understand themselves more fully and move toward relationships that feel secure, supportive, and genuinely meaningful.
