Get to know Dylan
Feeling overwhelmed by trauma, identity, or relationship struggles? You don’t have to navigate it alone. Dylan Inserra is here to help you find healing, clarity, and a path forward. Dylan is passionate about working with people wanting to process and heal from trauma, people wanting to explore EMDR, the LGBT+ population, anxiety or sex/sexuality-related issues as well as couples wanting to improve their relationships and people exploring polyamory, non-monogamy or open relationships. Dylan has a drive for helping people heal and grow and takes great care to develop a unique treatment plan to meet their needs while offering a safe and supportive space.
When working with clients, Dylan creates a welcoming, trusting environment where individuals feel safe and heard. He uses EMDR Therapy for clients who want to work through trauma, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to get to the WHY of why we do the behaviors we do and how to improve them, and Solution-Focused Therapy for clients who want more direct answers to their concerns. Collaboration is extremely important to Dylan in his approach, and he wants clients to be empowered and know that they are working together toward a goal.
Therapy and mental health became a passion of Dylan's after his own experience with therapy. Having gone through his own experiences with anxiety, Dylan saw the benefit of how a therapist can untangle the web of anxious thoughts and make them easier to navigate. Clients leave Dylan feeling more at peace with their past, more confident about their future, and understanding themselves better.
All his life Dylan has been involved in sports; he was an elite gymnast until 2010. While he was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, his experience in the sport allowed him to travel all around the world and experience many different cultures and ways of life, which have always been of great interest to him. In his free time, Dylan enjoys playing rugby, practicing his photography, and traveling with his husband.
