Get to know Erica
Erica is a native of Louisiana, who transitioned to Texas 12 years ago. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology with a concentration in Christian Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Erica is currently pursuing her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in trauma from Abilene Christian University(ACU) in Dallas, Texas. She has extensive experience in the non-profit sector working with a variety of populations. Erica also has several years of experience working in elementary education, and in the criminal justice system assisting clients with transforming their lives. In addition to interning at Lifeologie Midlothian, Erica works as an residential advocate at Safe Haven Tarrant County, providing crisis intervention to women and children seeking assistance and emotional care.
Erica is passionate about walking alongside clients in pursuit of self-discovery and healing. Specifically, she enjoys working with couples, adolescents and women utilizing a holistic approach to create long lasting change in thought and behavior. She aims to provide a warm and judgment-free space for clients to come as they are, process their concerns, and uproot beliefs and ways of thinking that are no longer serving them. Empathy, genuineness, and unconditional acceptance serve as the foundation of her counseling relationships. Erica finds joy in simply being with clients and providing tools to help them overcome life’s obstacles.
