Do you find yourself stuck in the same painful patterns, having the same arguments, feeling misunderstood, or wondering why connection feels so hard?
Lexis Garcia is a counseling intern who supports individuals, couples, and families who want to gain a better understanding of these cycles and create healthier, more secure relationships at Lifeologie Counseling Rockwall.
Lexis is deeply interested in couples counseling, family dynamics, attachment patterns, communication issues, anxiety, depression, life transitions, parenting concerns, and breaking intergenerational cycles that impact relationships. As a first-generation college graduate and Hispanic woman, she brings cultural awareness and a deep respect for family systems into her work.
In her clinical training, Lexis is also gaining experience working with inmates at Rockwall County Jail, supporting those navigating trauma, addiction, and complex life circumstances. This experience continues to deepen her understanding of resilience, accountability, and the broader context that shapes human behavior.
Her approach is relational and integrative, informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), systemic therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Through this lens, she helps people better understand relational patterns, deepen emotional awareness, and develop practical tools for communication, accountability, and meaningful change.
Lexis believes insight is powerful, but lasting transformation happens when new patterns are practiced both inside and outside the therapy room. She is currently completing her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Amberton University. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Child and Learning Development from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Deeply compassionate and highly attuned to emotional nuance, Lexis strives to create a space where people feel safe exploring vulnerable experiences. At the same time, she brings a grounded and direct style to therapy, gently challenging patterns that no longer serve her clients, while helping bring greater clarity and direction toward meaningful goals.
Lexis approaches therapy through a holistic lens, recognizing the connection between emotional health, environment, routines, and overall well-being. She believes therapy is most transformative when people feel both deeply seen and thoughtfully challenged. Her goal is to create a relational, honest, and growth-oriented space where unhelpful cycles can be broken and healthier relationships can take shape.
Outside of the therapy room, Lexis enjoys reading, crafting, building LEGO sets, playing board games, discovering new restaurants, and spending quality time with her partner, family, and friends. With a strong appreciation for home organization, she believes that both our environments and our relationships shape our overall sense of balance and wellbeing.
