Get to know Philip

Philip Grandjean is a compassionate counselor dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges and discover their fullest potential. He specializes in supporting those seeking to improve anxiety, depression, identity development, relationship issues, communication skills, emotional skills, self esteem, athletic performance, and other concerns related to their relational, mental and emotional wellbeing. At Lifeologie Counseling Plano & Richardson, he takes a holistic approach to therapy, fostering self-awareness and self-compassion to help clients build a strong foundation for personal growth and lasting change.

Philip’s expertise extends to athletics and performance psychology, where he helps athletes and performers unlock their potential by connecting with the values and experiences that drive them. Aside from being a lifelong competitive athlete, he combines experience as a basketball coach, golf coach, and caddie with his counseling background to connect with athletes and performers of all levels. He works with clients to overcome mental barriers, improve focus, and achieve peak performance in both their athletic and personal lives.

Philip incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Existential Psychology into his work. These approaches help clients gain insight into what truly matters to them and how they can align their thoughts, behaviors, and actions with their core values and goals.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Philip has always been passionate about creative and athletic pursuits. He earned his Bachelors in Psychology from Texas A&M University and completed his Masters in Counseling at the University of North Texas at Dallas.

Philip believes that perspective is one of the most powerful tools for transformation. Through his own experiences, he has seen how broadening awareness and analyzing our beliefs can help us change the way we perceive ourselves and the world around us. He views each individual as powerful, having an innate light within them, a source of strength and potential. Sometimes, this light may feel dimmed by the things that happen to us, overshadowed by negative thought processes, or blocked by external pressures, but Philip is committed to helping clients rediscover and harness that light, guiding them toward greater confidence and clarity.

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain, Philip is here to walk alongside you, offering an accepting and open space to explore your difficulties and reignite the flame of hope and self-belief. His goal is to support and challenge you to tap into your inner resources, reorganize faulty beliefs, and create a fulfilling life aligned with your values and aspirations.
