Get to know Philip

Philip Grandjean is a compassionate counselor dedicated to helping individuals of all ages navigate life’s challenges and discover their fullest potential. He specializes in supporting those seeking to improve anxiety, depression, identity development, relationship issues, communication skills, emotional skills, self esteem, eating disorders, and other concerns related to overall mental and emotional wellbeing. Philip takes a holistic approach to therapy, fostering self-awareness and self-compassion to help clients build a strong foundation for personal growth and lasting change.

Philip’s expertise also extends to athletics and performance psychology, where he helps athletes and performers—whether adolescents or adults—unlock their potential by connecting with their inner strength. He works with clients to overcome mental barriers, improve focus, and achieve peak performance in both their athletic and personal lives.

With a deep understanding of how thoughts and behaviors are interconnected, Philip incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Existential Psychology into his work. These approaches help clients gain insight into what truly matters to them and how they can align their thoughts, behaviors, and actions with their core values and goals.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Philip has always been passionate about creative and athletic pursuits. He earned his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Texas A&M University and is currently completing his Master's in Counseling at the University of North Texas at Dallas. His career journey has been diverse while supporting himself through school, and has included roles as an 8th grade history teacher and basketball coach, a caddy at a prominent Dallas golf club, a server, and a personal golf coach. These experiences have deepened his appreciation for the uniqueness of each person, and given him the opportunity to walk with others in pursuit of something greater. He is committed to offering unwavering support to those seeking guidance and growth.

Philip believes that perspective is one of the most powerful tools for transformation. Through his own experiences, he has seen how broadening awareness and analyzing our beliefs can help us change the way we perceive ourselves and the world around us. He views each individual as having an innate light within them—a source of strength and potential. Sometimes, this light may feel dim, or blocked by external pressures, but Philip is committed to helping clients rediscover and harness that light, guiding them toward greater confidence and clarity.
