Get to know Sarah
Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, or just plain worn out with life? Sarah would love to chat with you about how to live your life in the most meaningful way! She believes that we find the most fulfillment when we are living into who we are meant to be. Stress, unhealthy relationships, trauma, and society can skew our views of ourselves. Sarah is passionate about helping clients overcome barriers in their lives. She especially enjoys working with teens, women, and individuals struggling with anxiety. Her approach is based in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and the person-centered approach.
Born and raised in Michigan, Sarah grew up in a small town called Lake Odessa. She relocated to Grand Rapids when she started attending Cornerstone University. Sarah knew that she wanted to pursue therapy as a profession and graduated with degrees in Counseling Psychology and Business. Following her undergraduate program, Sarah went to obtain her Master of Social Work degree from Spring Arbor University.
Sarah is a Starbucks aficionado and uses caffeine to keep up with her Australian Shepherd doggo, Leo. In her free time, she loves to read, find the best food trucks, play board games, and go hiking. Her guilty pleasure is watching Survivor every Wednesday night. Sarah is always up for an adventure and trying new things.
