Shanece Trimmer is a dedicated counseling intern committed to supporting children and individuals through their healing journeys. Previously a preschool teacher and kid's ministry volunteer, Shanece has always had a special place in her heart for children. She is driven to uncover the root causes of issues, particularly those stemming from childhood trauma, and firmly believes in early intervention. Her areas of focus include trauma, anger, anxiety, and depression.
Shanece is passionate about helping individuals find their worth, identity, and voice. She desires to create a safe space for others where unconditional positive regard, empathy, and trust are the foundations of a solid working alliance. Shanece values compassion deeply, guided by her Christian faith, and strives to help others feel loved, accepted, and take their rightful place in the world. She is committed to partnering with her clients to develop the skills to resolve their challenges independently. With a solutions-focused and client-centered approach, she believes clients have the power to heal and transform their lives, one step at a time.
Shanece holds a Bachelor's in Management Information Systems from Lamar University and is currently pursuing her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine.
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she recently relocated to Dallas with her son, who is the light of her world. In her free time, Shanece enjoys being in nature, painting, practicing self-care, and spending quality time with her family and friends. These activities help her stay grounded and bring a balanced perspective to her work with children, fostering a nurturing and understanding environment for them to heal and grow.
