Get to know Brie
Are you exhausted from carrying trauma, anxiety, or depression on your own? Or feeling overwhelmed watching your child carry these experiences? Brie Roberts understands how the lingering weights of trauma can affect a person and wants to help you take the weight off your shoulders. Brie is passionate about meeting her clients where they are to understand the survival mechanisms they’ve built and the patterns beneath the feelings. Brie creates a space where adolescents and adults feel safe and supported to process, grow, and move forward with clarity at Lifeologie Counseling St. Johns.
Brie uses an integrative approach that blends Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused interventions, and mindfulness to support meaningful, lasting change. Through CBT, Brie helps clients identify and reframe unhelpful thought patterns that fuel anxiety and depression. At the same time, DBT skills build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier coping skills in overwhelming moments.
Brie’s trauma-focused work gently addresses past experiences at a pace that feels safe, helping clients process and release what’s been trapped and lingering over them. Mindfulness is woven throughout to increase self-awareness, grounding, and the ability to stay present instead of feeling consumed by emotions.
Brie earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville University. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Kennesaw State University. She has experience working with adolescent girls, including those who may be at risk for the Juvenile Justice System. She has worked as a victim advocate for individuals who have experienced sexual/domestic violence. Brie also has experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation from her time working as a Co-Responder Clinician.
Outside of counseling, Brie enjoys taking her puppy on walks, going to Pure Barre, and spending time with those important to her. Brie enjoys intentional time with friends/family, good food, online shopping, working out, and understanding the mind-body connection.
