Get to know Danneca
With genuine empathy and a structured, evidence-based approach, Danneca Mundle helps adolescents, young adults, and adults navigate trauma, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, and life's toughest transitions at Lifeologie Counseling Hampton Roads. She specializes in supporting clients who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood, especially those who are ready to understand themselves more deeply and develop the skills they need to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Danneca integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions to help clients increase self-awareness, regulate emotions, and build effective coping strategies in response to trauma and life stressors. When working with children and adolescents, she also brings in developmentally appropriate, play-based, and expressive activities to enhance engagement, emotional expression, and skill-building within a structured, evidence-informed framework.
She's especially drawn to working with clients who are navigating the effects of early childhood adversity, attachment-related challenges, family conflict, academic or occupational stress, mood instability, and difficulty with emotional regulation or impulse control.
If you feel emotionally intense, misunderstood, or like you're constantly reacting instead of responding, Danneca is here to help you slow down, make sense of what's happening, and build a life that feels more balanced and intentional.
Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that values emotional safety, curiosity, and personal growth. She aims to create a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to understand themselves more deeply. Danneca values culturally responsive care and approaches treatment with sensitivity to the unique experiences, identities, and backgrounds each client brings into the room.
Danneca earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Tech and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Her background includes community-based and crisis-oriented work, which has taught her to remain calm, grounded, and solution-focused (even during high-stress situations). She is a certified adult Mental Health Community Responder.
What truly sets Danneca apart as a therapist is her ability to balance empathy with meaningful structure. She helps clients slow down emotional reactions, connect the "why" behind their experiences with the "how" of change, and learn practical skills they can apply in real-life situations. She offers a steady, validating presence while also guiding clients toward accountability, insight, and meaningful behavioral change. Danneca believes healing happens when clients feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough to grow.
Working with Danneca is collaborative, grounded, and intentional. She values both emotional depth and practical tools, and she enjoys helping clients understand not just what they're feeling, but how to work with those feelings. Clients can expect a thoughtful, consistent, and compassionate partnership focused on helping them move toward clarity, balance, and self-confidence. Together, Danneca and her clients develop individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans that promote emotional stability, accountability, and sustainable change.
Outside of therapy, Danneca enjoys creative expression and reflective practices, which often influence how she approaches healing as an integrative process that honors both science and the human experience.
