Get to know Diana

Diana is passionate about helping those with anxiety, depression, life transitions, anger management, trauma, and cultural and gender issues. Diana specializes in play therapy with children ages 4-10 but also enjoys working with teens, young adults and the Latinx community.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Diana graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2018 with a degree in psychology. After 3 years of working as a Registered Behavior Technician in Applied Behavior Analysis and through her own experiences with mental health, Diana realized she wanted to help others identify and work through their problems. Diana graduated in 2023 from the University of North Texas Denton with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Diana’s approach to therapy is humanistic and non-directive. Diana primarily utilizes techniques from the Person-Centered approach. She continues to educate herself on other approaches and utilizes techniques to better help her clients understand and achieve their goals. While she uses several techniques, Diana works to create an open, safe space for individuals to express themselves without the fear of judgment, to grow, and be empowered to live their best lives.

When she’s not working, Diana enjoys staying in, watching movies, baking, going out with friends and family, spending time with her dogs Stark and Bucky, and going to concerts.
