Get to know Dylan

Dylan was born in 1991 and raised in Cedar Hill, Texas. Through his experience of being a camp counselor and youth minister, he heard a calling to get into counseling. Already having a solid foundation of working with children and families, he figured he could apply those skills apply them to working with different populations of people. He has a heart for helping others and wants to help make a change and difference in their lives. He wants to help people feel like they do have power over their problems and that they have the tools to make changes in their lives to live successful lives. He prides himself on listening to each client that he works with and he wants to make each client feel heard and valued. He tries his best to be as encouraging as possible towards his clients and help them achieve their goals. 

Dylan attended Howard Payne University, where he graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts. He went on to receive his first master’s degree in Family Ministry from Hardin Simmons University in 2018. He is currently finishing his second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hardin Simmons University. He currently works as Treatment Foster Care Case Coordinator at a foster care agency where he works with foster children and foster parents. The children that he works with have major behaviors and have been in the foster care system for a while and need nurturing homes to help them get to less restrictive settings. Dylan wants to use his skills to help people make changes in their lives. He is open to helping clients of all populations and backgrounds. 

In Dylan’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his beautiful fiancé and their 4-year-old daughter. They enjoy family dinners and going to movies and playing games together. Dylan is a huge sports fan, especially the Cowboys and Rangers. He is a diehard fan of these teams. So, you know he will stick with his clients through the good times and the not-so-good times. He has played guitar since he was 16. Dylan is also a big fan of video games.
