Transgender Adult Support Group

Lifeologie Counseling Ada, Michigan is offering a 6-week virtual support group for transgender adults (18+), creating a safe and inclusive space to find support and community. Join us to meet other transgender adults, share experiences, and navigate areas of stress in a supportive and safe environment.

Led by queer-and-gender-affirming therapists Dr. Molly Wilson and Jason Baniukaitis, our group will focus on different topics each week, including:

  • identifying social support and community
  • personal journeys relating to identity exploration
  • coping strategies
  • self compassion.

In the first meeting, group members will also have the opportunity to select additional topics of interest they would like to discuss. We will also hold space each week for group members to process emotions, stressors, and their lived experiences as transgender people.

This group will meet virtually on Zoom for 6 sessions on Tuesdays at 4:00 pm EST, beginning May 13 and concluding June 17.

Transgender people are underserved and experience limited access to mental health resources and social supports, while simultaneously dealing with a broad range of other stressors, such as daily discrimination and bias.

Are you a transgender adult looking to find community, process emotions, feelings, and experiences, and receive support in a safe and inclusive space? Give Lifeologie Counseling Ada a call at 616-929-0248 or email grandrapids@wefixbrains.com to enroll in this group today!
