Get to know Ambria

Ambria Donahue enjoys working with adolescents, adults and couples who are seeking support, clarity, and meaningful personal growth. She specializes in supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, abuse, stress, trauma, and depression.

Ambria believes therapy should be a collaborative space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences while developing the tools needed to navigate life with greater confidence and balance. Her approach to counseling is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and strong therapeutic relationships. Ambria integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and trauma-informed care to help clients strengthen emotional awareness, build resilience, and develop practical coping strategies. Guided by a person-centered framework, she creates a supportive, judgment-free environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Ambria is committed to providing culturally responsive and identity-affirming care, recognizing that each client’s story is shaped by their unique background, values, and lived experiences. She strives to create an inclusive therapeutic space where individuals from all walks of life feel supported in showing up as their authentic selves.

She earned her Master’s in Counseling and Development from Lamar University and her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. Ambria also brings experience from her work as a school counselor, where she supported adolescents and families navigating academic, social, and emotional challenges.

Outside of the therapy room, Ambria enjoys reading, traveling with friends and family, and spending time with her dog. She also enjoys adventure—whether horseback riding, hiking scenic trails, or zip lining—and values the meaningful roles she holds as a wife and mother.
